Bob Dylan and Santana live in Madrid 1984
In this edition of Música & Som number 93, we have Bob Dylan live in Madrid in 1984. A journalist from this magazine went to accompany the first concert of the musician in Spain.
The concert took place at the Valleca stadium (Club Rayo vallecano) on 26 June 1984. Santana and a local band, the Minuit Polonia, also took part in this concert.
According to the magazine’s special envoy, it was an excellent concert by both musicians, who brought a magnificent alignment of their best songs.

Elvis Costello
Exclusive interview with Elvis Costello. This interview is related to the album “Punch the Clock“.

Duran Duran
Duran Duran interview by Música & Som‘s London correspondent Ray Bonici.

Jethro Tull
This issue’s biography belongs to Jethro Tull.

Paul Weller
An article about Paul weller. The records of the bands he played in, both in The Jam and in Style Council were edited in Portugal. Even so, and despite being very famous in the UK, he is practically unknown in this country.
Also in this article it makes reference to the intervening character of the musician in the records, and in the concerts, with a philosophical/political posture, not adhering the left/right, but an autonomous position at an ideological level.

Barbra Streisand
On the page dedicated to cinema, the highlight goes to Barbra Streisand. She is the protagonist, producer and director of the romantic-musical drama “Yentl”. The actress plays the part of a young Jewish girl who dresses up as a man to learn the Talmud.
