Maureen O´Hara in Estúdio Magazine
Maureen O’Hara is the first cover of Estúdio magazine, published in 1953.
Introduccion
Last week I purchased over 900 magazines. Many of which go into the collection I am building. I drove more than 400Km to get them. It was in the company of my friend Miguel Mordru that this was possible, and without him, it wouldn’t have been possible.
A magazine lot like this very rarely appears. The condition of the magazines is excellent. The magazines acquired are Estúdio, Plateia and Celulóide. All of them film related. Some magazines I didn’t even know what their covers were, I’d never seen them before.
There are not many catalogs of magazines published in Portugal. This is one of the objectives that bring to build this site, create a catalog, and share it.
So, I chose for this new post one of the magazines acquired, number 1 of the magazine Estúdio.
Estúdio Magazine
Estúdio magazine has 2 distinct series. The first series is published between 1953 and 1962, and has about 220 issues. The second series is published between 1962 and 1974, and has more than 250 issues. In total it has existed for 21 years and has published about 470 issues.
